The technology institutions and universities that are members of the CPSE e.V., pool their plastic-relevant focal points and work together for strengthening the value chain of plastics manufacturing and processing industry.

To further develop the coordinated cooperation with technology transfer measures, the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences as part of their non-economic activities manages a project from May 2010 to April 2013 entitled "Center of Plastics Science and Engineering (CPSE)". The project is funded with grants from EU and the state of NRW in the framework of the Objective 2 Programme NRW (EFRE). On the project side project results are published.

One of the objectives of this network, the competence profiles are available in detail. Primarily the cooperation of participating institutions to initiate comprehensive project cooperation between industry and science or between science institutions. Major Project Developments in the technology focus areas are to be published on the project page.

Objectives and contents of this project with the participation of partners are designed in a way that the planned project results contribute to the development of the cluster Kunststoff.NRW besides others in in technology transfer. The cluster Kunststoff.NRW is non commercial partner in this project. The use and exploitation of project results is ensured for overall NRW.
